Charcoal frame and spool with a ribbed silver foot (there is currently a line loaded on the reel and a line sticker affixed to the underside of the foot indicates that it is a WF3)

tip-top (one and two black bands)

Seeing as this was his personal rod it has no writing on the butt section

Hardy St John Fly Reel [SALE PENDING] 9'6" and built for a #7A nice Hardy St. John fly reel, 3 7 8" diameter and set up for RHW. An earlier three screw model Duplicated Mark II style check. Excellent lightly used condition with some minor cosmetic wear but nothing significant. Ribbed brass foot. Ebonite handle. Nice loud click and the tension adjuster works as it should. Nice tight spool. The reel packs into a brown suede zipper pouch.
