The flowers are 4" wide and, if pollinated by another passion flower, are followed by round, edible fruits that have very good flavor. Beautiful palmate leaves. This is a large vine that likes heat and has proved to be a very valuable species for creating hybrids. It is a parent of many fragrant Passiflora hybrids including P. 'Blue Velvet', P. 'Temptation', and P. 'Vivacemente.'
