The fabric is a knit and the colors are bold and bright like the 1960s. This romper playsuit zips up the back and then closes with a button. It is in great shape for its age. There is just a little wear and tear (shown in one picture). Th I found this piece in my neighbor's collection of vintage clothing. Her daughter wore this in the late 60s and early 70s. I think it would look cute with boots or
